OSG naghain ng quo warranto petition laban kay Guo

Naghain ng quo warranto petition ang Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) nitong Lunes laban sa suspendidong mayor ng Bamban, Tarlac na si Alice Guo, na maaaring magresulta sa kanyang pagkatanggal sa puwesto.

Tinukoy nila sa petisyon na isinampa sa Manila Regional Trial Court na ang inirereklamo ay si "Guo Hua Ping a.k.a. Alice Leal Guo." “Guo Hua Ping a.k.a Alice Leal Guo is unlawfully holding the position and illegally exercising the duties and responsibilities of the office of the mayor of Bamban, Tarlac,” saad ni Solicitor Gen. Menardo Guevarra.

Iginiit niya na si Guo ay isang Chinese national at hindi karapat-dapat na tumakbo para sa puwesto sa bansa. “She has committed acts which, by provision of law, constitute a ground for the forfeiture of her office. More specifically, she has committed acts of serious dishonesty which, under the local government code, warrant her removal from office,” dagdag nito.

Matatandaang kinumpirma ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na si Guo at ang may hawak ng Chinese passport na si Guo Hua Ping ay may parehas na fingerprint.
