Naturukan ng Covid vaccine na namuo ang dugo, mahigit 300 na

Makikipagtulungan ang Johnson & Johnson sa German scientist na si Andreas Greinacher upang mapag-aralan ang pagkakapareho ng nangyaring blood clot matapos maturukan ng first dose ng Janssen at AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines ang ilang indibidwal.


Ayon kay Greinacher sa ginanap na news conference nitong Martes, "We agreed today with J&J that we will work together… My biggest need, which I've expressed to the company, is I would like to get access to the vaccine, because the J&J vaccine is not available in Germany."


Dagdag pa niya, "Individuals are different, and only if by coincidence, nine or 10 weaknesses are coming together, then we have a problem. Otherwise, our in-built security systems block it, and keep us safe."


Iginiit naman ng Johnson & Johnson na puwede nang iturok ang Janssen COVID-19 vaccines sa Europe, matapos lumabas sa unang pag-aaral ng European Medicines Agency (EMA) na ‘very rare’ lamang ang naranasang pamumuo ng dugo ng ilang naturukan. Gayunman, pinayagan silang mag-aloka na may kasamang ‘safety warning’.


Samantala, iaanunsiyo sa Biyernes ng United States ang kanilang magiging desisyon hinggil sa Johnson & Johnson.


Sa ngayon ay mahigit 300 cases na ang iniulat na nakaranas ng blood clot mula sa iba’t ibang bansa matapos maturukan ng COVID-19 vaccines.


Ayon pa kay Data Analytics Head Peter Arlett ng EMA, tinatayang 287 indibidwal na ang nagka-blood clot sa AstraZeneca, 25 sa Pfizer, 5 sa Moderna at 8 sa Johnson & Johnson.
