Nag-resign sa LTFRB… Garafil, bilang OIC ng Office of the Press Secretary

Bumaba sa puwesto si Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chairman Atty. Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil upang tanggapin ang posisyon bilang Office of the Press Secretary.

“Today, October 7, 2022, I tendered my resignation as LTFRB Chairperson as I have accepted the offer to help in the Office of the Press Secretary as its Undersecretary and OIC (officer-in-charge),” ani sa isang statement ni Garafil, na dating journalist.

“This is a great honor and privilege and I thank the President for this opportunity to once again work with him in his administration to serve the Filipino people,” dagdag ni Garafil.

Nang tanungin naman para kumpirmahin kung si Garafil ang magiging OPS’ officer-in-charge, ayon kay Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, “Yes.”

Matatandaan noong Hunyo, na-appoint si Garafil ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na siyang mamuno sa LTFRB.

Si Garafil ay nagsilbi bilang service director sa Committee on Rules ng House of Representatives. Gayundin, naglingkod siya bilang prosecutor sa Department of Justice (DOJ) at State Solicitor para sa Office of the Solicitor General (OSG).

Una nang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na ang bagong press secretary ay papangalanan sa susunod na linggo para ilagay sa binakantehang posisyon ni Trixie Cruz-Angeles na nag-resign dahil sa health reasons.
