Mula Hulyo 1-Agosto 31… 149 krimen sa mga babaeng estudyante, naitala – PNP

Umabot na sa 149 krimen kaugnay sa mga babaeng estudyante ang nai-record ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa buong bansa na naganap sa huling dalawang buwan.

Batay sa PNP data na nasasakop mula Hulyo 1 hanggang Agosto 31, makikitang karamihan sa mga naiulat na mga krimen ay nasasangkot sa rape na marami ang mula sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Nakapag-record din ayon sa ahensiya ng mga kaso ng acts of lasciviousness at violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.

“Our intention is not to cause panic, but we advise students to be cautious of their surroundings at all times,” pahayag ni PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. sa isang statement na inilabas nitong Biyernes.

“When their parents tell them not to trust strangers, the children must take this seriously,” giit ng opisyal.

Sinabi ni Azurin na nakatutok din ang PNP sa pagresolba ng mga nai-report na kaso habang aniya, “[Ensuring, especially in crime-prone areas], consistent police presence.”

“There is also strong coordination between the Education Department and the PNP to work hand-in-hand in ensuring the safety of the children,” sabi ni Azurin.

“Now that classes are returning to the in-person set-up, there is a greater challenge for the police officers to monitor closely the vicinity around learning institutions,” aniya pa.
