“Hello again! Just a bit of kuwento for my FB Family (love emoji).
“Kiko, Miguel and I, together with Yaya Hanzel, arrived from New York on the morning of September 5. It was a long flight (and I usually love LONG - even long-ER -- flights!), because of delays and all that. But the service in-flight was wonderful as usual, wonderful.
“I usually recover from jetlag in about two weeks - wherever I may be, if the time difference is huge. Matagal talaga bago ako makapag-adjust. So hilo pa ako sa pagkakulang sa tulog on September 8, but I happily went with my two boys to Nueva Ecija to attend the wedding of the son of Miguel’s Nana Carmen who has been his Yaya since he was about two years old. Kiko and I were Ninong and Ninang to James and Angelica, and Miguel was Best Man (nag-volunteer siya).
“Nana Carmen is a very special member of our household and we all love her so much!
“The next day, September 9, it was back to work on Saving Grace (SG) for me! Always happy to be on the set, but jetlag has ruined me yet again and it was hard doing scenes on about only two hours of sleep. Nge.
“Yesterday naman, we were taping in Navotas. Jennica Garcia is always a pleasure to work with, kasi magaling na artista talaga ang batang ‘yan at masaya kaming magkatrabaho.
“Christian Bables was there too and first time naming magkaeksena sa show na ito together.
He and I became close during a season of Your Face Sounds Familiar where he was a contestant and I was one of the judges.
“Fe Delos Reyes plays my best friend and manager in the show, and I always have a great time working with her kasi matagal na akong fan ni Fe - I was sixteen when I would watch her as a member of the band ‘Music and Magic’ at the old Tavern On The Square in Makati (kung saan kinunan ang eksena namin ni Angela Bofill na kumakanta sa movie kong Friends In Love (FIL).
“Tapos, naging comedienne s’ya at super talagang nakakatawa si Fe ‘pag nag-show na. In this show, we have both dramatic and fun scenes together. I have a lot of affection for her kasi in the 1980s pa lang, napakabait na, masaya kasama, magaling kumanta at magpatawa!
“I’ve also done lots of scenes with Sam Milby whom I’ve known for years. Barkada sila noon ng panganay ko and he and their friend group of friends used to come to our former home in Wack-Wack Village where I would sometimes cook for them. So in all, masaya ang working environment ko, thank God!
“Add to all that the fact that my two Directors, Direk FM Reyes and Direk Dolly Dulu are really good at what they do. It truly makes a big difference in an actor’s work when your directors know how to motivate all of you actors and take the script to heart.
And the whole staff and crew are just so professional, efficient and happy, and pleasant to work with, that the set is so magaang! I love a happy set. I cannot give my best when it isn’t. I thrive when it is and I am so grateful that God gave me not just this show but all the people involved in it,” post ni Mega.
Sa huli ay nagtanong siya sa kanyang mga fans and followers sa FB if gusto pa nila ng more kuwento from her.
More tsika, more fun siyempre.
Special ang show niya the other night dahil ito rin ang nagsilbing celebration niya with his fans for his birthday.
A week before his birthday concert ay sold-out na ang mga tickets.
Fans will also enjoy Ice’s heartfelt renditions of timeless classics like Isang Linggong Pag-ibig at Freddie Aguilar’s Anak in the fan-favorite ICE-FIED segment.
