Hindi obligado ang mga Katolikong Pilipino na dumalo sa misa para sa Feast of the Immaculate Conception, sa Disyembre 9.
Inilipat ang pagdiriwang, dahil tumapat ito sa ikalawang Sunday of Advent ngayong taon.
Humiling ang Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) ng paglilinaw mula sa Vatican hinggil sa obligasyon para sa Lunes.
"The Philippine bishops made this request considering that it would be difficult or even impossible for many Filipino Catholics to go to Mass on a working day since they are daily wage earners and rely on this for their family's sustenance," saad ng Episcopal Commission on Liturgy sa isang pahayag na ipinost ngayong Biyernes.
"The Dicastery responded positively to the request, stating that 'the obligation to attend Mass does not apply this year'," dagdag pa nito.
