Naghain si Senator Risa Hontiveros ng Senate Bill No. 1548 o Kontra Dinastiya Bill na layong ipagbawal ang lahat ng political dynasty sa bansa.

Sa ilalim ng naturang panukala, hindi maaaring tumakbo o humawak ng national at local elective office, gayundin ang sa partylist system, ang mag-asawa at kamag-anak hanggang ikaapat na antas ng consanguinity o affinity ng isang opisyal.

"Political dynasty refers to concentration, consolidation, or perpetuation of public office and political power by spouses or relatives among national or local elective offices, as well as all other elective offices that may be created by law from time to time," saad sa naturang panukala.
