“One of the finest actresses in the country and one of the most beautiful,” ganito ipinakilala ng King of Talk Show na si Boy Abunda ang veteran actress na si Dina Bonnevie nang mag-guest ito sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda (FTWBA) kamakailan lang.

Sa unang tanong ng mahusay na host na si Boy kay Dina, “Sa tunay na buhay, how is your relationship with Tin? (referring to Kristine Hermosa).”

Sagot ni Dina, “I treat her like my own daughter, pero siguro the only difference is if I would tell Danica, ‘Ba’t ganyan suot mo, bakit ganyan, eh, pupunta lang tayo sa ganito,’ I can openly (say), pero kay Tin, medyo ‘di ko puwedeng pakialaman ang outfit n’ya. Tipong ganu’n.

Parang kay Danica, ‘Ano ‘to, may mga kalat d’yan? Ano ‘yan, dapat maayos ‘yung bahay,’ ganyan. Hindi ko puwedeng gawin ‘yun kay Tin. 

“Unang-una, hindi naman s’ya makalat. But you know, there are certain boundaries na s’yempre, ‘di ko s’ya anak, parang kuwidaw (ingat). Like if I notice something, I will speak to my son (referring to Oyo), not to Tin.”

Pangalawang tanong ni Boy, “How are you?”

Sagot ni Dina, “I’m okay. I’m coping. I can say I’m much, much better now than (last) January perhaps, when you called me and said, ‘Relax ka lang muna.’ I was terrible then, but now, I’m okay.”

Kuwento pa ni Dina, “There was a time, humiga ako sa kama ko, nakadipa, and I was just crying and crying and crying na talagang basang-basa na ‘yung kama ko. Talagang, ‘Nandito ka ba? Are you here? Is there a God?’ Parang, ‘Why do you want me to be like this?’ Parang, ‘You want me to be single, why? I can do anything for you with a husband. Why do you want me to be alone?’

“So, I was talking to God na parang ganu’n lang. And then, parang a voice was telling me, ‘Why do you keep focusing on what you don’t have? On what you no longer have? Why don’t you focus on what you still have to start all over again? Or to prosper yourself? To glorify my name? Or to do something that has purpose in your life?’”

Napag-usapan din nina Boy at Dina ang tungkol sa pagpanaw ng kanyang asawa (referring to DV Savellano, former governor at congressman ng Ilocos Sur).

Kuwento pa niya, “It has given me a lot of realizations that indeed, life is short. And that you know, we’re really in a rat race. I mean, here we are, working hard to earn this, to buy this car, to buy this house, to get this, to own that, but is that really all that matters?

“After all that’s been said and done, may nadala ba nila nu’ng namatay sila? Wala. But what do you remember a person for when he dies? The things he has accomplished. So, when DV died and there were loads of people going to the funeral parlor, parang inisip ko, DV was remembered for the way he served, not as a politician, he was a public servant.”

Dagdag pa ni Dina, “Death is actually how you see it. You can grieve for the loss of someone, and it’s true, the pain never goes away. You have to live with it, but you have to use that to inspire you to be a better you.”

Sey ni Dina, matapos siyang magluksa ay nakita niya ang “Dina 3.0”, as in bagong Dina.

Saad niya, “Ako, I’m looking at myself—I think this is Dina 3.0. Nandu’n na ‘ko sa living with intention, parang it’s intentionality, living a life that has a purpose. Nandu’n na ‘ko sa ganu’n. Kasi when I saw that happened to DV, and watching him die, that’s traumatic. Till now, there are nights that I just can’t sleep because the whole thing is replaying in your mind again and again. 

“He had four flatlines. On the fifth, hindi na s’ya nabuhay. And then I realized na, ‘Oh, probably God wanted to give him rest because he was tired.’ I mean, so many people depended on him. He was supporting so many people. And maybe, this is all borrowed, our lives are borrowed. It’s done.”

Supe-ganda pa rin ng mother dearest nina Oyo at Danica Sotto na tipong hindi naranasan ang mga paghihirap sa kanyang personal life, in fairness.

KAABANG-ABANG na ang bawat eksena sa isa sa most-watched series sa Netflix PH na It’s Okay To Not Be Okay (IOTNBO), lalo pa’t ibinunyag ni Joshua Garcia na malapit nang lumambot ang puso ng kanyang karakter na si Patrick kay Mia (Anne Curtis).

Ngayong linggo, makikita ng manonood na hindi na natiis ni Patrick si Mia at hinabol niya ito sa ulan matapos ang hindi nila pagkakaunawaan.

Paliwanag ni Joshua, may dahilan naman ang kanyang karakter kung bakit umiiwas kay Mia. 

Aniya, “Ang bigat kasi ng dinadala ng karakter ko rito. Pasan n’ya ‘yung mundo, ‘yung kapatid n’ya, ‘yung hustisya sa nanay n’ya, pati ‘yung gusto n’ya nu’ng bata s’ya.”

Bukod kay Joshua, labis din ang naging paghahanda ng ibang cast members na sina Kaori Oinuma, Xyriel Manabat, Maricel Laxa, Sharmaine Suarez, Michael de Mesa, Albie Casiño, Ana Abad Santos, Alora Sasam, Bianca de Vera, Louise Abuel, Mark Oblea, at Alyssa Muhlach para sa kanilang roles. 

Dumaan sila sa seminars kasama ang ilang psychiatrists para mas maintindihan nila ang kanilang roles bilang pasyente at doctors sa serye.

Inispluk din ng creative head ng serye na si Henry Quitain na importante ang bawat istorya ng pasyente lalo pa’t makakaapekto din ito sa buhay nina Patrick, Mat-Mat (Carlo Aquino), at Mia.

Samantala, mas makikilala rin ang iba pang karakter sa serye na ginagampanan nina Carlo Aquino, Bodjie Pascua, Rio Locsin, Francis Magundayao, Bobot Mortiz, Agot Isidro, Enchong Dee, at JV Kapunan.
