Mawawala na ang web browser na Internet Explorer, ayon sa Microsoft, dahil mas marami na ang gumagamit ng kakumpitensiya nitong Chrome ng Google at Safari ng Apple.


Kasabay nito, ipinakilala naman nila ang bagong papalit sa Internet Explorer.


Pahayag ng Microsoft, "We are announcing that the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge.


"Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications.”


Ayon sa Microsoft, sa June 15, 2022, tuluyan nang magreretiro ang Internet Explorer at hindi na ito susuportahan ng kumpanya.
