Niyanig ng magnitude 6.1 na lindol ang Sulawesi Island, Indonesia ngayong Sabado, ayon sa United States Geological Survey (USGS).
Sa tala ng USGS, tumama ang episentro ng lindol sa 258 kilometers northeast ng Manado sa North Sulawesi at may lalim na 68 kilometers.
Samantala, kaagad namang nilinaw ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) na walang banta ng tsunami sa Pilipinas hinggil sa naturang lindol.
Saad pa ng PHIVOLCS, “No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data. This is for information purposes only and there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from this earthquake.”
