Higit 8-M COVID-19 vaccine, naiturok na sa ‘Pinas — Galvez

Mahigit 8 million COVID-19 doses ang naiturok na sa Pilipinas, ayon kay Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez, Jr. ngayong Linggo. Ayon sa datos ng National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC), umabot na sa 8,050,711 ang nai-administer na nationwide noong June 18 kung saan 5,953,810 ang naiturok para sa first dose at 2,096,901 naman ang second dose.


Saad ni Galvez, “There’s no letup in our vaccination campaign. All sectors of society are working together so that we can start to move on from this pandemic, bring back a greater sense to our lives, and further open up our economy.”


Ayon sa National Task Force (NTF), sa A1 priority group, 94.24% o 1,053,373 healthcare workers na ang nakatanggap ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19. Sa A2 priority group naman o mga senior citizens, 1,939,599 na ang kabuuang bilang ng mga nakatanggap ng first dose, habang 536,476 ang fully vaccinated na.


Sa A3 priority group naman o persons with comorbidities, 2,005,206 ang nakatanggap na ng first jab ng bakuna habang 498,925 naman ang fully vaccinated na.


Sa A4 priority group na binubuo ng mga economic frontliners, 452,600 ang nabakunahan na ng first dose at 8,127 ang nakakumpleto na. Sa A5 priority group naman o ang mga indigents, 23,826 ang nakatanggap na ng first dose.


Saad pa ni Galvez, “Local government units and the private sector are playing a key role in this effort, as they ramp up the inoculation of their citizens and employees, respectively. They are really doing an amazing job and we would like to laud them for their hard work.”
