Flight at operasyon ng NAIA, suspendido dahil sa Lightning Red Alert

Sinuspinde pansamantala ang mga flight at ground operations sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) dahil sa red alert na itinaas ng PAGASA ngayong Huwebes.
Sa isang advisory, ayon sa Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), ang Lightning Red Alert ay itinaas ng alas-1:43 ng hapon.
“The alert is a safety measure taken to prevent untoward incidents from happening when lightning is prevalent in the immediate area and may endanger personnel, passengers, and even flight operations,” pahayag ng MIAA.
Samantala, base sa latest bulletin ng PAGASA, “Tropical Depression Maymay has weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) but heavy rains are still expected in parts of North Luzon.”
Gayundin, posibleng makaranas ng maulap na papawirin na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan at thunderstorms sa Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, at Aurora dahil sa LPA at ng shear line.
Bahagya namang maulap hanggang sa maulap na papawirin na may isolated rain showers o thunderstorms ang maaaring maranasan sa Metro Manila at sa natitirang bahagi ng bansa dahil sa localized thunderstorms.
