Itinanggi ni dating Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II ang kanyang pagkakasangkot sa kasong ‘crime against humanity’ ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa International Criminal Court (ICC), matapos pangalanan bilang isa sa mga kasabwat umano sa drug war.


“Wala akong kinalaman sa akusasyon nila sa akin [na] crime against humanity… I never conspired or participated in any extrajudicial killings. Besides, at that time, the Philippines was not yet a member of the ICC,” ayon kay Atty. Aguirre.


“I hereby reiterate that I never engaged in any EJK or support its implementation… I was never part of this war on drugs and never participated in its implementation, if ever it was true,” dagdag pa nito.
