E-sabong operations, suspended pa rin – P-BBM

Iniutos na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang patuloy na suspensyon ng operasyon ng electronic sabong o e-sabong sa buong bansa.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order No. 9, ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, “There is an urgent need to reiterate the continued suspension of all e-sabong operations nationwide, clarify the scope of existing regulations and direct relevant agencies to pursue aggressive crackdown against illegal e-sabong operations, in accordance with law.”

Batay sa EO, suspendido ang live-streaming o broadcasting ng live cockfights o sabong sa labas ng sabungan o cockfighting arenas o mga lugar kung saan ang sabong ay ginaganap.

Nakasaad din sa EO 9, “it suspends online/remote, or off-cockpit wagering/betting on live cockfighting matches and/or activities streamed or broadcast live, regardless of the location of the betting platform.”

Samantala, ang operasyon ng tradisyunal na sabong na authorized o licensed sa ilalim ng umiiral na batas ay hindi covered ng suspension.
