Dumating na sa Indonesia… P-BBM, bibisitahin ang Filipino community

Dumating na si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Indonesia para sa kanyang kauna-unahang foreign trip simula nang maupong Chief Executive ng bansa noong Hunyo, ayon sa Office of the Press Secretary ngayong Linggo.

Batay sa impormasyon mula sa Presidential Security Group (PSG), sinabi ng OPS na si Pangulong Marcos ay lumapag sa CGK Airport sa Indonesia ng alas-12:35 ng tanghali.

Nakatakda namang bisitahin ng Pangulo ang Filipino community ngayong hapon.

“This is to once again put the Philippines in a position where we have strong alliances and strong partnerships which are necessary for us to come out of the post-pandemic economy,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang mensahe bago siya umalis ng bansa patungong Indonesia ngayong araw.

“So I leave to undertake my first state visit to our immediate neighbors, Indonesia and Singapore. In other words, ako’y mangangapit-bahay para sa ating bansa at para sa ating ekonomiya,” sabi ng Pangulo.

Ang pagbisita ni Pangulong Marcos sa Indonesia, mula Setyembre 4 hanggang 6, ay dahil sa imbitasyon ni Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Inaasahan na tatalakayin ng dalawang lider ng mga bansa ang tinatawag na active and multi-faceted cooperation in defense, maritime border security, economic development, at people-to-people exchanges.

“We’ll be discussing the current state and the future as we see it of the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Indonesia and the changing geopolitical environment,” saad ng Pangulo.

Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), “[President] Marcos and Widodo will also witness the signing of several key agreements in the areas of defense and culture and the comprehensive plan of action, which will chart the two countries’ bilateral priorities in the next five years.”

Samantala, sa imbitasyon naman ni Singaporean President Halimah Yacob, didiretso si Pangulong Marcos sa Singapore sa Setyembre 6 para sa isang state visit.

Magkakaroon ang Punong Ehekutibo ng separate meetings kina Yacob at Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong upang talakayin ang bilateral relations, at regional and global issues.
