Sey niya, “Na-miss nako ang time with my family, akong mga igsoon (kapatid),” umpisa niyang sabi kay Melai.

Aniya, “Na-realize ko na life is more than just fame, acting, showbiz, and money.

“All of this means a lot to me, but it’s not everything. Showbiz is a part of my life, but it’s not my whole life.”

Na-appreciate naman daw niya ang fame as an actor at ang suportang ibinibigay sa kanya ng mga fans. Pero nang ma-explore niya ang kanyang craft as an actor and filmmaker ay napansin niyang nagkakaroon siya ng time sa sarili at sa kanyang family. But over time, he’s also learned to follow his heart and make decisions that align with his personal desires.

“Ang sabi ko kay Mama, ‘Sige, I’ll come back but I’ll make sure na it’s not the same as before. Right now, you’re getting older. I want to spend more time at home,’” pagbabahagi pa ni Enrique.

Aniya, “So, that’s me right now, I’m trying to look for something that makes me happy.

“The most important thing is balance in life. If there's too much of one thing, it's not also good for your mental health, physical health, and sa heart mo.”

In fact, he recently pitched a project to ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidanes, who loved the concept and immediately gave the green light for shooting next year.

Aniya, “Sa lahat ng ginagawa ko, I make sure that I’m always happy. ‘Pag ‘di ka happy, think twice bakit mo ginagawa ‘yun.

“Always try to find the best in everything kahit it’s the worst time of your life.”

Ibinalita rin niyang may gagawin siyang teleserye sa ABS-CBN at magsisimula silang mag-shoot by March, 2025.

“Actually, co-produced namin ito with ABS-CBN, my concept kaya excited ako rito. Gusto ko action s’ya, pero action-comedy, medyo may pagka-lightness.

“Kasi usually, super-bigat lagi ng mga action so I wanted it medyo siyempre may rom-com involved, kailangan ‘yun sa TV, eh, pero it’s kumbaga medyo Ryan Reynolds-ish na may lightness but there’s some mafia involved.”

“Yes, she is interested but she is in the US right now, she’s in LA. But we talked about it for a bit. Yeah, she is interested but she is there right now.

“So, who knows, maybe next year. Sana, kung may time,” dagdag pa ng actor.

May movie na ipapalabas si Enrique, ang Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital (SF: TKH), an official entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

And that’s what makes you so appealing and unique, not to mention you are much endowed with talent. You always put a smile on my lips whenever I see you perform, whether it be a formal concert, a game or trivia/tribute you are giving someone, or just one of your random videos. You are truly a gift to us. Continue to inspire, God bless.”

“Hahaha! Babae pa rin si Ice.”

"Remember that cute little star, it’s still inside of that body. Forever the bibo Ice of Mommy Caring.”
