Nagbitiw na si Cong. Edvic Yap bilang kinatawan ng ACT-CIS Partylist.
Sa sesyon ng Kamara kahapon, inanunsyo ni Deputy Majority Leader at Leyte Rep. Anna Victoria Veloso-Tuazon na nakatanggap sila ng liham mula kay Yap kung saan ipinaalam nito ang “resignation”.
“Mr. Speaker, for the information of the body, we are in receipt of a letter from Rep. Edvic Yap of the ACT-CIS Partylist informing the House of Representatives of his resignation as member of the House,” pahayag ni Veloso-Tuazon.
Dahil dito, tinanggal na rin si Yap sa roll of members ng House of Representatives. Si Yap, ay kapatid ni Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, isa sa mga mambabatas na binanggit ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla na tumanggap umano mula sa mag-asawang contractor na sina Curlee at Sarah Discaya.
