COA chairman Calida, nagbitiw sa posisyon

Nagbitiw na sa kanyang posisyon si Commission on Audit (COA) Chairman Jose Calida, saad ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa mga reporters ngayong Martes.

Una nang sinabi ng COA na ang panunungkulan ni Calida sa commission ay nagtapos na ngayong Martes, Oktubre 4, dahil hindi na siya muling itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na isa sa kanyang gabinete.

“Please be advised that the chairperson was one of the officials whose appointment was bypassed by the Commission on Appointments. Today, the President issued reappointment to 10 cabinet members, unfortunately, Chair Calida was not one of those reappointed,” pahayag ng Public Information Office ng COA.

“The Commission (COA) will wait for the President’s appointment of a new Chair for COA.

We hope we have cleared up the matter,” dagdag pa ng COA.

Ayon kay Bersamin, tinanggap na ni Pangulong Marcos ang resignation ni Calida.

Tumanggi naman si Bersamin na banggitin ang tungkol sa sinabing dahilan ni Calida sa resignation letter nito.
