Bukod sa lisensya, dapat ipaskil din ang Certificate of Registration

Ako ay optometrist at mayroong maliit na klinika kung saan nakapaskil lamang ang aking diploma. May nakapagsabi sa akin na kailangan ko rin diumano ipaskil ang aking Certificate of Registration. Kailangan pa ba talaga ito? - VJ

Dear VJ,

Para sa iyong kaalaman, sang-ayon sa Section 6 ng Republic Act No. 8050 o mas kilala bilang “Revised Optometry Law of 1995” na:

“Sec. 6. Disclosure of Authority to Practice. — An optometrist shall be required to indicate his professional license number and the date of its expiration in the documents he issues or signs in connection with the practice of his profession. He shall also display his certificate of registration in a conspicuous area of his clinic or office.” (Binigyang-diin)

Malinaw sa nasabing batas na bukod sa paglalagay ng numero ng iyong lisensya mula sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) at petsa ng pagkawala ng bisa nito sa mga dokumentong iyong lalagdaan, kailangan mo ring ipaskil ang iyong Certificate of Registration sa iyong klinika, kung saan madali itong makikita upang masigurado ng publiko na ikaw ay lehitimo na optometrist. Sang-ayon sa Section 3 (e) ng parehong batas, nakasaad ang importansya ng Certificate of Registration:

"(e) "Certificate of registration" - A document signed by the Commissioner of the PRC and by all members of the Board of Optometry and bearing its seal, issued to an applicant who has satisfied the requirements for the practice of optometry. It shall serve as proof that the registrant is qualified to practice the profession in the Philippines." (Binigyang-diin)

Sana ay nabigyan namin ng linaw ang iyong katanungan. Ang payong aming ibinigay ay base lamang sa impormasyon na iyong inilahad at maaaring magbago kung mababawasan o madaragdagan ang mga detalye ng iyong salaysay.
