BI main office, isasara ulit; 3 empleyado positibo sa COVID-19

Isasara muli ang gusali ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) main office sa Intramuros, Manila para sa disinfection sa Lunes at Martes, matapos na tatlong empleyado nito ang magpositibo sa test sa coronavirus o covid-19.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, sa dalawang araw na suspensiyon ng kanilang operasyon, ang lahat ng BI employees ng main office ay kinakailangang sumailalim sa rapid anti-body test at kapag nagpositibo ang resulta, agad isasalang sa confirmatory swab test para sa covid-19.
Gayundin, sabi ni Morente, "Given the high number of people who troop to our main building everyday to transact business, we have to take all precautionary measures to prevent the transmission of this virus in our office premises."
Dagdag pa ni Morente, nagsasagawa na ang ahensiya ng periodic disinfection sa lahat ng pasilidad ng BI.
“We will also instruct our terminal heads in the other international ports to again coordinate with the local government units (LGUs) in their turfs for the conduct of another rapid testing for our frontliners outside Metro Manila," sabi naman ni BI Port Operations Acting Chief Grifton Medina.
Ayon kay Medina, aktibo ang BI employees’ union na Buklod-CID at ang Immigration Officers Association of the Philippines (IOAP) na nakikipagtulungan sa kanila sa ginagawang covid-19 testing ng mga BI frontliners.
