Inamin ni National University (NU) Athletic Director Rustico “Otie” Camangian na nagsimula nang magsanay ang basketball, volleyball at cheerdance sa bubble camp nang payagan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) noong Disyembre 2021.“They continue having online, it’s only last December, the CHED allowed the resumption of the training of some sports kasi nga naka-align dun sa UAAP, then we started dun sa basketball, sunod diyan ang women’s volleyball at cheerdance, and the other sports na i-include ng UAAP for this season for example the 3X3 men and women, beach volleyball men, Poomsae and the chess for men and women, those are events na included in the UAAP season 84 na gradually kami nagpe-prepare beginning ng basketball namin,” pahayag ni Camangian noong Huwebes ng umaga sa virtual TOPS Usapang Sports. “Ma-compress siya sa isang period, so almost second semester simula na yan,” dagdag niya sa programang suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Games and Amusement Board (GAB) at PAGCOR.

Aniya, posibleng manumbalik na ang regular sports events sa 85th season sakaling maganda na ang health situation sa bansa pagdating sa COVID-19.“Most likely ibabalik na yung mga regular events for 85 season which is technically this year (85th season), but again it’s entirely dependent on the situation of the COVID-19 sa atin, if we can return to the normal conduct of events,” wika ni Camangian, na inaming may mga na-disband silang mga sports at teams gaya ng football men at juniors, table tennis, softball women at chess men.
