“The public is hereby advised of a circulating scam from a Facebook/Messenger account pretending to be the Philippine Embassy in Oman,” batay sa advisory.

“Please do not provide any personal information and ignore messages received from the said fraudulent account,” diin ng embahada.

“The Embassy does not use Messenger in disseminating information,” giit pa nito.

“Those receiving messages from the fraudulent account are advised to contact the embassy via email at muscat.pe@dfa.gov.ph or via landline at +968 2460-5335 or +968 2460-5176,” saad ng embahada.

“The public is hereby enjoined to exercise caution and prudence especially when interacting online,” sabi pa nito.
