Pagkatapos ng mahahabang taon, finally ay mapapanood na natin ulit ang Concert King and Concert Queen na sina Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez sa isang sariling talk show, ang Exes & Whys ng Cignal TV’s Colours.

Matatandaang nagsimula ang Pops-Martin tandem sa The Penthouse Live may tatlong dekada na ang nakakaraan. Kasabay ng pagsikat ng show ang pagsikat din ng kanilang team-up lalo na nga nang dalhin nila ito sa totoong buhay at magkaroon sila ng relasyon.

Sa Zoom mediacon kahapon, ayon sa ex-couple, aware naman sila na baka magkaroon ng comparison sa old and new show, but of course, magkaiba naman daw.

“The biggest difference is when we were doing Penthouse Live, ako, anyway, I was so young, I didn’t know anything about life, I was only 14, 15, so in other words, hindi pa ako masyadong sanay, baguhan pa ako, I really did feel uncomfortable. It took several years for me to get used to the hosting part.

“Ngayon siguro, masasabi ko, mas mature na kami ni Martin. There are some things that we couldn’t discuss before, even when we were doing ASAP. Ngayon, mas ok na kami, mas comfortable na kami. I think it’s safe to say that we have both matured when it comes to our work and our hosting abilities which is exactly what you will see in the show,” sey ni Pops.

Ayon naman kay Martin, isa pang difference is mas hands-on si Pops sa show ngayon simply because ang direktor ay ang sarili nilang anak na si Robin Nievera.

Samantala, sa naturang Zoomcon ay naitanong kay Pops ang pagkakadamay niya sa Derek Ramsay-Andrea Torres breakup. Siya ang itinuturong third party sa paghihiwalay ng dalawa and for the first time ay nagbigay ng paglilinaw ang Concert Queen tungkol dito.

“It’s absolutely not true. I just don’t wanna talk about it because I felt that Derek and Andrea are not really talking about it, ang weird naman na ako ‘yung magsasalita.

“Hindi po siya totoo. How it started, hindi ko rin po alam. Basta all of a sudden, ang dami-dami na lang lumabas at hindi ko alam na ang dami na palang usap-usapan,” paglilinaw ni Pops.

Ilang beses lang daw niyang nakita si Derek and during those times ay kasama raw nito si Andrea.

“We don’t talk to each other, we don’t really text each other,” she said.

Bukod kina Martin and Pops, nasa Zoomcon din ang panganay na anak ng ex-couple na si Robin and another music icon, Louie Ocampo para naman sa musical show nilang Louie O Live with Robin Nievera ng Colours Cignal TV.

Magsisimula nang mapanood ang Exes and Whys ngayong Dec. 19 (Saturday) while Louie O Live with Robin Nievera will be premiering on Dec. 20, Sunday.

Both will be airing at 9:00 PM on their respective dates on Colours, available exclusively on Cignal TV CH. 202 HD and CH. 60 SD. Viewers may also access Colours on the Cignal Play app, available for Android and iOS users.
