Arestado ang 81-anyos na Australian fugitive na wanted sa kanyang bansa dahil sa mga kaso ng pang-aabuso sa mga bata, ayon sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) ngayong Huwebes.
Kinilala ni BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco ang Australian na si David John Buckley na naaresto ng mga operatiba ng BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) noong Martes, Nobyembre 21, sa Bantayan Island, Cebu.
“He will be deported as soon as the board of commissioners issues the order for his summary deportation,” ani Tansingco.
“His presence is not welcome in the country, and he will be placed in blacklist,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi ng BI na undocumented alien si Buckley at expired na ang pasaporte.
“According to official records, Buckley, a notorious pedophile, is the subject of two arrest warrants issued by the federal police in Queensland, Australia based on charges of rape and indecent treatment of children,” saad ng BI.
Nakakulong ngayon ang suspek sa BI detention facility sa Taguig City habang naghihintay ng deportation.
