28 fixers, arestado at 3 convicted — ARTA

Ipinahayag ng Anti-Red Tape Authority o ARTA ngayong Huwebes na may kabuuang 28 fixers na ang nadakip habang tatlo ay hinatulan o convicted sa paglabag sa anti-fixing law noong Setyembre 2022.

Sa ginanap na Senate hearing hinggil sa budget para sa 2023 ng ahensiya, sinabi ni ARTA officer-in-charge Undersecretary Ernesto Perez na 21 entrapment operations ang kanilang naisagawa.

“For the case handling, we have set up 21 entrapment operations. Twenty-eight fixers were apprehended and three were already convicted for violation of the anti-fixing law as mandated in the law,” saad ni Perez.

Ayon sa opisyal, 74 kaso na may 567 counts ng violation ang naihain na sa Office of the Ombudsman at sa Civil Service Commission.

Samantala, sinabi ni Perez na ang ARTA, sa ilalim kanilang programa National Effort for the Harmonization of Efficient Measures of Inter-Related Agencies (NEHEMIA), ay nakapag-reduce na ng processing time, costs, at requirements sa mga opisina ng gobyerno.

Ang NEHEMIA ay isang sectoral-based streamlining effort na target na mabawasan ang oras, gastos, requirements, at mga procedures sa mga sektor ng economic and social significance ng 52% sa loob ng 52 linggo. Inilunsad ang program noong 2020.
