NBA PLAYER ODOM AT BROWNLEE LALARO SA MIGHTY SPORTS PHLS

MAGLALARO para sa Mighty Sports Philippines ang dating NBA player na si Lamar Odom at import resident na si Justine Brownlee. Ito ay mismong inanunsiyo ni Odom sa kanyang Instagram account kahapon.

Nakatakdang maglaro si Odom sa Dubai International Basketball Tournament kung saan sasali ang Mighty Sports sa naturang torneo. “I’d like to announce that I will be playing in the Dubai International Basketball Championship this February 1st 2019. I will be representing team @mighty­sports_ph from the Philippines with my 4ever #7,” saad ni Odom.

Naglaro ang 39-anyos na si Odom sa NBA mula 1999 hanggang 2014. Sumikat siya sa Los Angeles Lakers kung saan nanalo siya ng titulo noong 2009 at 2010 kasama ang NBA legend na si Kobe Bryant. Umaasa rin si Migh­ty Sports team owner Caesar Wongchuking na maka­kuha ng iba pang NBA veterans upang umibayo ang kampanya ng team. “We welcome Mr. Lamar Odom to the Mighty Sports family,” ayon kay Wongchuking. “It’s a great honor to have such a great player to be part of our team representing the Philippines. My thanks to coach Charles Tiu and payer agent Sheryl Reyes.” Nakuha rin para maglaro sa team, ayon kay Tiu si American Randolf Morris na naglalaro sa Beijing Ducks sa Chinese Basketball Association.

Ayon kay Odom, ma­ganda ring paghahanda ang nasabing torneo sa Big 3, isang 3-on-3 na kompetis­yon sa Amerika kung saan naglalaro ang mga dating manlalaro sa NBA. “To me this is a great warming up for the @thebig3 !! It’s been a minute since I’ve professionally competed and I hope to be as explosive as I used to be! I was hoping to be ready for the Chinese CBA earlier this year but I didn’t feel that I was physically were I wanted to be. ( yet) I needed more time to recover from my multiple strokes and hearts attacks. I’m not giving up and going in full force !! Patience and moving forward is key!” saad ni Odom.

Nagpasalamat din si Odom sa import agent na si Sheryl Reyes at Mighty Sports coach Charles Tiu sa pagkakataon na makabalik sa paglalaro. Plano ring imbi­tahin ni Wongchuking ang collegiate stars ng La Salle na si Santi Santillan at UP’s Juan Gomez de Liano upang ma­ging bahagi ng team kasama sina Gab Banal at dating PBA star Joseph Yeo. “We hope to add star power to the team because we have lots of fans in Du­bai,” dagdag ni Wong­chuking. Gusto na rin daw makasa­lamuha ni Odom ang teammates at Pinoy fans. Da­ra­­ting siya sa bansa sa Enero, 2019.
