16 boto para ma-convict si VP Sara; Estrada at Marcoleta, padaluhin sa paglilitis

Hiniling ni Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano sa Senate impeachment court na makipag-ugnayan sa Sandiganbayan upang payagan sina Senators Rodante Marcoleta at Jinggoy Estrada na dumalo sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

“May I ask members of this court, through the presiding justice, to consider … communication with the Sandiganbayan for the attendance of Sens. Rodante Marcoleta and Jinggoy Estrada,” pahayag ni Cayetano sa unang araw ng paglilitis.

Kapwa nahaharap sina Marcoleta at Estrada sa kasong plunder at ilang kasong graft sa Sandiganbayan.

Ginawa ni Cayetano ang apela matapos igiit ni Escudero, na ngayon ay nagsisilbing presiding officer ng impeachment court, na kinakailangan ang 16 na boto upang mahatulan si Duterte sa trial.
