Inihahanda ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang Revenue Memorandum Circular para alisin ang Value-Added Tax (VAT) sa system loss charge sa kuryente, alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.


Ayon sa BIR, ilalabas ang circular 15 araw matapos mailathala ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ang Resolution No. 26, Series of 2026, na nag-uuri sa system loss charge bilang pass-through cost.


Inaasahang makababawas ito sa pasanin ng mga konsyumer sa kanilang electric bills.
