Unang kaso ng COVID-19 sa Solomon Islands, galing sa ‘Pinas

Naitala ang unang kaso ng COVID-19 sa Solomon Islands nitong Sabado matapos pumunta sa naturang bansa ang isang estudyante mula sa Pilipinas na positibo sa Coronavirus.

Saad ni Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, "We inform the nation that we now have our first case of COVID-19. The person is a student that came on a repatriation flight from the Philippines."

Asymptomatic umano ang naturang estudyante at negative ang test result nito sa Manila bago bumiyahe.

Pahayag pa ni Sogavare, "Our post-arrival testing protocols required all arrivals to be tested within 28 hours after arrival. The student was picked up during this first test run. A further specimen has been collected for confirmation. That result will be available later today." Isinailalim din sa testing ang mga nagkaroon ng contact sa naturang estudyante at lahat naman ng mga ito ay negatibo ang resulta.
