Senator Bong Go widened the gap between himself and other senatorial candidates

Manila, Philippines — Senator Bong Go posted a notable 3% increase in his voter preference in the final Tangere 2025 Senatorial Preferential Survey. Consistent with the previous week's survey, Senator Go ranked 1-3 in all seventeen regions of the country.


Senator Go is followed distantly by ACT-CIS representative Erwin Tulfo with a 54.2% voter preference driven by voters in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila. Duter-Ten Candidates Incumbent Senator Bato Dela Rosa ranked third overall with a 48.0% voter preference driven by strong support from Northern Mindanao and CARAGA. Top 20, will be SAGIP representative Rodante Marcoleta (ranked 11-18, 33.0% voter preference) after posting a significant 8% gain in his voter preference. 90's action star Philip Salvador ranked 20th overall after posting a notable 3% gain.


Alyansa Candidates Aside from Cong. Erwin Tulfo, the other nine (9) official candidates of the administration and one guest candidate (as of May 5) are within the Top 12. \


Former Senator Tito Sotto, statistically tied at 4-5, with a 46.50% voter preference; Senator Pia Cayetano, statistically tied at 6-9, with a 41.6% voter preference; Senator Bong Revilla Jr., statistically tied at 6-9, with a 41.0% voter preference; Former DILG Secretary Ben Abalos, statistically tied at 6-10, with a 40.7% voter preference after posting a notable increase from Southern Luzon and Bicol Region; Senator Lito Lapid, statistically tied at 6-10, with a 40.0% voter preference; Former Senator Ping Lacson, statistically tied at 8-10, with a 39.0% voter preference; Senator Francis Tolentino, statistically tied at 11-17, with a 34.3% voter preference; Former Senator Manny Pacquiao, statistically tied at 11-17, with a 34.0% voter preference; Makati Mayor Abby Binay, statistically tied at 11-18, with a 33.8% voter preference; and Alyansa guest candidate, Cong. Camille Villar, statistically tied at 11-18, with a 33.5% voter preference. Independent Candidates Cong. Erwin Tulfo’s brother, Media Executive Ben "Bitag" Tulfo, ranked 4th-5th with a 46.2% voter preference driven by Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao votes. Former Senator Bam Aquino, ranked 11th overall all (statistical 11-16) with a voter preference of 34.9%. Completing the top 20 will be Incumbent Senator Imee Marcos, ranked 12th to 19th with a 32.5% voter preference. ----------------------------


The non-commissioned survey, conducted April 29- May 3, 2025, was administered via a mobile-based respondent application with a sample size of 2,400 participants (+/- 1.96% Margin of Error at a 95% Confidence Level) using a Stratified Random Sampling method (Quota Based Sampling).


The proportion was spread throughout the Philippines with 12 percent from NCR, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
