Santo Niño de Pandacan, nawawala

Batay sa kasunduan ng Pilipinas at ADB, gagamitin ang naturang pondo para sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) o ayuda sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipinong naapektuhan ng COVID-19.


Iniimbestigahan na ng awtoridad ang pagkawala ng imahe ng Santo Niño matapos masunog ang Pandacan Parish church sa Manila na umabot sa ikatlong alarma noong Biyernes.


Sunog na sunog ang mga antigong religious images gayundin ang kumbento at ayon kay Investigation Chief of the Manila Fire District (MFD) Capt. Guillermo Firmalino, ang apoy ay maaaring nagmula sa ikalawang palapag ng simbahan kung saan naroroon ang imahe ng Santo Niño de Pandacan.


Saad ni Fr. Ricardo Valencia, “[The Santo Niño] has been a legacy for 400 years, an image that has been valued and venerated by Pandacan residents,” Fr. Ricardo Valencia said.
