“May this event be a constant reminder of the invaluable contribution and selfless sacrifice of our heroes, especially Gat Andres in paving the way for the liberty and independence that we enjoy today,” ani Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang speech sa Pinaglabanan Shrine sa San Juan City.

“Remembering the heroism of our gallant forebear Bonifacio provided the sense of hope, determination and optimism for today’s generation of Filipinos, especially as we surmount difficult challenges in our time including the COVID-19 pandemic,” dagdag ng Pangulo.

“Let me thank the National Historical Commission of the Philippines for undertaking the restoration and the rehabilitation of these historical and cultural landmarks.

Remembering historical events such as these are vital to enriching our understanding and appreciation for our nation’s culture,” sabi ng Punong Ehekutibo.

“I believe that by visiting and honoring our past, we will be able to impart a stronger sense of nationhood to the present and future generations of Filipinos,” pahayag pa ni P-Duterte.

Kasama naman sa pagdiriwang sina Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesperson Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles, San Juan City Mayor Francisco Javier Zamora, at National Historical Commission of the Philippines Chairperson Dr. Rene Escalante.
