'Pinas, gagawing digital hub sa Southeast Asia

Balak ng European Union na gawing "digital hub" ang Pilipinas sa Southeast Asia.

Ito ang inihayag ni European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen sa kanyang pakikipagpulong kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., sa Malacañang.

"My third point is on turning the Philippines into a digital hub in the region. Global Gateway will also play a crucial role here, and European companies are ready to come and invest in the Philippines," wika ni Von der Leyen.

"We will launch this year the digital economy package for the Philippines, that is we will work together on fast and reliable connectivity with submarine cables on cybersecurity training, and on deployment and development of 5G," saad ng foreign official.

Sa unang kalahati ng taong 2023, ika-83 ang Pilipinas sa 142 na bansa sa bilis ng internet ayon sa ikalawang State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Marcos.
