Inaprubahan ng Bangladesh Medical Research Council ang 3rd phase ng clinical trial ng COVID-19 vaccine ng China nitong Sabado matapos ang ilang pagsusuri rito.
Ayon kay BMRC Director Mahmood-uz-jahan, “We have not issued any official letter in this regard. We have just approved it in our Saturday’s executive meeting.”
Isasagawa ang naturang clinical trial sa 4,200 healthcare workers mula sa pitong Covid-19 hospitals na Mugda General Hospital, unit 1 at 2 ng Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, at Mohanagar General Hospital.
Ang International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research ng Bangladesh at Sinovac Research and Development Limited ng China ang magsasagawa ng naturang trial.
Saad pa ng BMRC director, “The vaccine will be administered to the healthcare staffers who are not infected with Covid-19 as they are exposed to the disease. It will be examined whether and how much antibodies against Covid-19 grow in their bodies.”
