PCSO Provides worth of P1.5M Assistance to IPP Partners

MANDALUYONG CITY – Led by Assistant General Manager for Charity Sector Dr. Larry Cedro, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over checks worth P300,000 pesos each to five (5) beneficiaries of the Institutional Partnership Program (IPP), namely Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines Inc. (NCFPI), SPECS Foundation Inc., Childhope Philippines Foundation, Inc., Enhancing, Nurturing, Disciplining, Empowering, Restoring Daycare, Inc., and The Ruth Foundation for Palliative and Hospice Care, Inc.
The IPP is the PCSO’s financial grant that augments the resources of various welfare agencies and charitable medical facilities to further extend the charity services of the government, particularly for the medical and health needs of the poor and disadvantaged sectors in local communities.
The NCFPI is an institution that provides comprehensive care to poor Filipino patients with clefts or notches and those with facial defects. On the other hand, the SPECS Foundation Inc. It is a non-government organization that cares for abandoned street children and victims of abuse.
NCFPI Executive Director Vanessa Enriquez and SPECS Foundation Program Director Estrellita Espiritu accepted the checks June 19, 2023. “Maraming, maraming salamat po sa PCSO sa pangunguna ni GM Mel Robles at ng ibang officers sa tulong po na binigay niyo. Gagamitin po natin ito bilang karagdagang pondo para sa pagpapagamot ng mga pasyente namin, lalo na yung mga batang may bingot.” Enriquez expressed.
Enriquez also thanked the agency, saying they would use the funds to provide further care for the kids in their center. PCSO is the only government agency that raises and generates revenue from Lotto and Small Town Lotter, which provides funds for health programs, medical assistance, and other charity works for those in need.
