PCSO Conducts Medical and Dental Mission in Lipa, Brings Free Medicines & Food Packs to Batangueños

Mandaluyong City – On February 21, 2023, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) visited the locals of Lipa City and served a total of 240 patients including senior citizens, PWDs, adults and children, during its Medical and Dental Mission held at Barangay Banaybanay in Lipa City, Batangas.

A total of 151 patients benefited from free medical consultation and electrocardiogram (ECG) services while 89 patients received free dental treatment and procedures.

The said mission was led by the Charity Sector Assistant General Manager Dr. Larry R. Cedro and was successfully carried out with the cooperation of Medical Services Department OIC-Manager Dr. Rouel C. Aparato and the Medical Team.

The PCSO also provided various medicines worth P100,000.00 for use by the Health Centers of Barangay Banaybanay and its neighboring areas.

The residents of the barangay expressed their gratitude to the Agency for providing services that aided those struggling from medical conditions, in particular those who are unable to pay for medical check-ups at centers and hospitals in their respective communities.

In addition, one thousand (1,000) food packs were distributed to senior citizens of six (6) barangays in Lipa City. The distribution was led by PCSO Board of Director Member (ret.) Judge Felix Reyes. Items were received by Barangay Captains namely Hon. Danilo Silva of Brgy. Banay-Banay,

Hon. Lope Lina of Brgy. Pook, Hon. Hon. Arnel Lunar of Brgy. Bulaklakan, Hon. Armando Inciong of Brgy. Duhatan, Hon. Fernando Rocafort of Brgy. Halang and Hon. Ronaldo Fernandez of Brgy. Pinagtongulan. Together with them are the three (3) City Councilors, Hon. Coun. Junjun Gozos, Hon. Coun. Aries Macala and Hon. Coun. Mikee Morada.

This distribution of food packs is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of the Agency.
