Batay sa kasunduan ng Pilipinas at ADB, gagamitin ang naturang pondo para sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) o ayuda sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipinong naapektuhan ng COVID-19.

Kontrobersiyal ang diumano’y muling pagpapatuloy ng mga production shoots at iba pang aktibidad ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic na kinondena ni Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III.


Aniya, “The FDCP is going overboard in its mandate, hindi na tama! It is not within the powers and functions of the FDCP to issue such an order affecting the entire audio-visual sector as it is not in any way related to, and in the furtherance of, the purpose for which the agency was created – which is to promote and support the development and growth of the local film industry only.


“While the purpose is for the benefit of the stakeholders, it cannot erase the fact that it is beyond your agency’s legal authority.”
