P818 M ang halaga… 240 bagong sasakyan ng PNP ipapamahagi sa mga police station sa bansa

Pinangunahan ni PNP Chief General Guillermo Eleazar ang pagpapsinaya sa

240 bagong sasakyan ng Philippine National Police nitong Lunes.

Ito ay binubuo ng 10 utility trucks, 13 shuttle buses, 90 4-wheel drive troop carriers at 127 police patrol vehicles.

Ayon kay Eleazar, ang 240 brand new vehicles ay na-procure ng PNP Bids and Awards Committee Chaired by PNP Director for Comptrollership, Police Major General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., mula sa appropriations ng Capability Enhancement Program 2021 na may total contract price na P818,175,766.00.

Sinabi ni PNP Acting Director for Logistics, Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Olay, na ang ten utility trucks ay ibibigay sa limang Area Police Offices sa North Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, Eastern Mindanao at Western Mindanao; habang ang 13 shuttle buses naman ay ipapamahagi sa Police Regional Offices at PNP Academy.

Ang 90 4×4 troop carriers naman ay ibibigay sa Police Mobile Forces at Municipal Police Stations na may rugged at mountainous terrain, habang ang 127 patrol vehicles ay idi-distribute sa Police Stations.

Sa kasalukuya, ang PNP ay nagme-maintain ng fleet of 20,000 ground mobile assets na nagrerepresenta sa 53% sa required na 37,000 units para suportahan ang mga police operations sa buong bansa.
