P100M cyberlibel.... Pastor Quiboloy tinuluyan ni Pacquiao

Nagsampa na si Senador Manny Pacquiao ng P100-million cyberlibel complaint laban kay Davao City-based Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sa Makati City Prosecutor’s Office ngayong Martes.

Sa isang pahayag, binigyang-diin ni Pacquiao sa kanyang 13-pahinang reklamo kay Quiboloy na kailangang magbayad ito ng halagang P100 milyon bilang damages at attorney’s fees dahil aniya, “using his power and influence to spread fake news and false information.”

“He used this deliberate falsehood to brainwash the minds of the Filipino public, recklessly propagating lies to blacken the image and reputation of an honest public servant. He even had the audacity to quote the Holy Scripture in furtherance of his lies, misleading his flock, and confusing the public, with the end in view of blackening another’s reputation,” batay sa complaint ni Pacquiao.

“His statements, as outlined below, are far from hallow. They are criminal in nature and cannot go unpunished,” dagdag ng senador.

Nag-ugat ang naturang reklamo mula sa isang television at social media post umano na ginawa ni Quiboloy, kung saan sinasabing si Pacquiao ay gumamit umano ng public funds para sa hindi natapos na Sarangani Sports Training Center.

Sinabi pa umano ni Quiboloy na dahil sa proyekto nagkaroon ng gastos ang gobyerno ng halagang P3.5 bilyon, kung saan ipinakita nito ang mga larawan ng dilapidated bleachers at tumubong mga damo sa lugar.

Ang akusasyon naman ng pastor ay nag-ugat matapos na ipahayag umano ni Pacquiao na ang korupsiyon sa bansa ay lumala pa.

“My statement relating to the prevalence of corruption in the Philippines under the current administration and even at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic is based on findings from documents and information I obtained from concerned citizens. Prior to leaving for the USA for my world championship fight while representing flag and country, I had a press conference on July 3, 2021, where I showed further proof of the prevalence graft and corruption in this administration,” ani Pacquiao sa kanyang complaint.

Matapos na ang video kung saan ipinapahayag ni Pacquiao ang tungkol sa korupsiyon ay mag-viral, ayon sa senador, lumabas si Quiboloy sa telebisyon sa SMNI at sa social media at inakusahan naman siya ng korupsiyon ng pastor.

Habang isinusulat ito, wala pang ibinigay na komento o kasagutan mula sa kampo ni Quiboloy.
