P-Du30, itinakda na ang 2022 holidays at special days

Inilabas na ng Malacañang ngayong Biyernes ang mga idineklara ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na mga holidays at special days para sa taong 2022.

Batay sa Proclamation No. 1236 ni Pangulong Duterte, ang mga regular holidays, non-working days, at special working days ay ipapatupad sa susunod na taon.

Sa naturang proklamasyon, nakapagtala ng 10 regular holidays at anim na special non-working days. Sa 10 regular holidays, lima rito ay natapat ng weekends, habang ang anim na special non-working days, dalawa ang natapat na weekends.

Narito ang mga sumunod na petsa:

REGULAR HOLIDAYS

• Enero 1 - New Year’s Day

• Abril 9 - Araw ng Kagitingan

• Abril 14 - Maundy Thursday

• Abril 15 - Good Friday

• Mayo 1 - Labor Day

• Hunyo 12 - Independence Day

• Agosto 29 - National Heroes Day

• Nobyembre 30 - Bonifacio Day

• Disyembre 25 - Christmas Day

• Disyembre 30 - Rizal Day SPECIAL (NON-WORKING DAYS)

• Pebrero 1 - Chinese New Year

• Pebrero 25 – Anibersaryo ng People Power Revolution

• Abril 16 - Black Saturday

• Agosto 21 - Ninoy Aquino Day

• Nobyembre 1 - All Saints’ Day

• Disyembre 8 - Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

SPECIAL (WORKING) DAYS

• Nobyembre 2 - All Souls’ Day

• Disyembre 24 - Christmas Eve

• Disyembre 31 – Huling Araw ng Taon

“For the country to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to encourage economic productivity by, among others, minimizing work disruptions and commemorating some special holidays as special (working) days instead,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

Ayon sa Pangulo, ang proklamasyon sa pagdedeklara ng national holidays para sa pag-obserba ng Eid’l Fitr at Eid’l Adha ay ilalabas ayon sa rekomendasyon ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, kung anong petsa papatak ang Islamic holidays.

Inatasan na rin ng Punong Ehekutibo ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa pagpapalaganap ng guidelines hinggil sa naturang proklamasyon.
