Nagbitiw na ang aktor na si Johnny Depp sa "Fantastic Beasts" movie franchise matapos matalo sa libel case sa Britanya laban sa isang tabloid na tumawag sa kanyang "wife beater."
Ayon kay Depp, pinagbitiw siya ng Warner Bros movie studio sa kanyang role bilang villain na si Gellert Grindelwald.
Aniya, "I wished to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request.”
Saad pa ni Depp, “The surreal judgement of court in the UK will not change my fight to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal.
“My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegation against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”
Ayon naman sa Warner Bros, magkakaroon ng recasting para sa role na Grindelwald.
