Japan at Hong Kong dinomina, Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) at Para Cycling

Mark Julius Bonzon kay Saudi Arabia’s Manssour Ameen Alhayyan sa Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) Track and Para Track

Nagpasiklaban ang big guns mula sa elite cycling na bansa sa Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) Track and Para Track Championships matapos ang dalawang araw na padyakan na ginanap sa Tagaytay CT Velodrome.


Nanguna si Olympian Eiya Hashimoto ng Japan sa men’s elite elimination race habang dinomina ni Sze Wing Lee ng Hong Kong ang women's race sa event na inorganisa ng ACC at punong-abalang PhilCycling at Tagaytay City.


Suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission, (PSC) sa pamumuno ni chairman Patrick Gregorio ang nabanggit na karera. Ipinakita naman ni Hashimoto na hindi lang bilis ang meron siya maging ang lakas at  resistensya ay sandata nito para hawakan ang korona sa 14-cyclist men elite elimination race kung saan ay kasali si Pinoy rider Mark Julius Bonzo.


Si Hashimoto na 3-time Asian Games gold medalist at 14 times winner ng Asian championships ay may nasabing maganda sa Filipino cyclists at organizers. "The Philippine team looks good," anang 32- anyos na si Hashimoto. "With the right environment and continued development, especially in the early stages of track cycling and rider development. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Philippine riders improve next year.”


Sinigurado naman ni Junjie Wu ng China ang silver medal habang napunta ang bronze medal kay Nikita Tsvetkov ng Uzbekistan sa elimination race ng championships na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission, MVP Sports Foundation at Sports Plus PH. 


Dating road national cyclist ang 36-anyos na si Bonzo, lumaban muna ito ng Sabayan bago inungusan nina Joe Lau ng Malaysia, Harshveer Singh Sekhon ng India at Manssour Ameen Alhayyan ng Saudi Arabia. “It’s an ideal championship scenario,” saad ni Frederick Chan, “The race operations have gone smoothly without any intervention or hitches and the host organizer and federation have been outstanding.”
