Ipagmalaki at ikarangal ang pagsabak ng atleta sa SEAG

Higit sanang suporta, dasal at ipagmalaki ang hiling ni Philippine Sports Commission William “Butch” Ramirez sa mga sports leaders at sa publiko ang ibigay sa mga atletang sumasabak sa 31st Vietnam Southeast Asian Games.
“We must remind everyone that our taking part in the Vietnam SEA Games has a bearing in our build-up to our competing in bigger international competitions such as the Asian Games and Olympics. Let us look at the bigger picture,” ani Ramirez. “Let us not make any judgments or criticisms of our athletes who are still competing in Vietnam. Let us not discourage them and continue to support them all the way,” pakiusap ng PSC honcho. “There will be a time and place for that.”
“We will continue to pray for their safety and health, whatever their performance. We are very happy and proud of our athletes and coaches who fought hard for our country and people,” saad pa niya. “Keep the fighting spirit alive as our Filipino athletes show their resilience in achieving their goals for our beloved country.”
Mula simula ay nakaagapay at nakamonitor ang PSC chief sa progreso ng laro ng national team sa Hanoi at tinukoy pa niya ang pagiging ehemplo ng national judo team na nagawang lampasan ang problema bago pa makarating sa Vietnam.
Nawala man ang mga pambato ng Pinoy judokas na sina Kiyomi Watanabe at Mariya Takahaski na mga nakagintong medalya noong 2019 Philippine SEA Games dahil sa injury at academics, sa halip na madismaya at mawalan ng pag-asa, ang Philippine Judo Federation, sa ilalim ng liderato ng bagong pangulong si Alexander “Ali” Sulit, ay nagtrabaho at pinagsanay nang maige ang nalalabing atleta na siyang hahalili sa pagsabak sa Hanoi.
Dahil sa never-say-die mentality, humakot ang judo ng 2 gold mula sa kagitingan nina Rena Furukawa at Shugen Nakano sa women’s 57-kilogram at men’s 66-kg divisions.
