Ang SM Supermalls at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), sa pangunguna nina SM Supermalls’ Senior Vice President for Operations Engr. Bien Mateoat DILG Secretary Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos, Jr. ay naglunsad ng screening ng programa ng DILG na ‘Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan’ (BIDA) anti-drug advertisements sa SM Cinema. Ang programa ay ginanap noong Agosto 12, 2023, sa SM Megamall Director’s Club.
Ang paglulunsad ng screening ay bahagi ng commitment ng SM Supermalls sa Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) na nilagdaan noong Mayo 2023, na ginawang pormal ang public-private partnership ng DILG at SM Supermalls laban sa paggamit ng ilegal na droga.
“The advertisements will be actively displayed throughout our available digital assets. It includes 74 SM Cinema branches nationwide with a combined number of 348 screens that can garner an estimated 40,000 monthly views from an estimated 2.5 million viewers. On social media and owned digital assets, the advertisements will reach a potential high of 53.8M exposures,” sabi ni Engr. Mateo. “Its electronic poster format will be posted in over 250 mall directories that will have an opportunity of exposure to over 4 million customers every day.”
Napapanatili ng SM Supermalls ang mga malls at mga opisina nito na drug-free para sa mga customers at empleyado nito. Lahat ng 83 SM malls sa buong bansa ay nagpatupad ng iba't ibang mga hakbang upang mapuksa ang drug dependency, kabilang ang mahigpit na pamantayan sa seguridad sa tulong ng mga K-9 na mga aso.
Maliban sa mga hakbang pang-seguridad ng mga mall, bumuo at nagpatupad din ang SM ng mga programa at aktibidad na nakatuon sa pagpapabuti ng kalusugan at wellness ng mga customer at empleyado, tulad ng pamamahagi ng impormasyon sa pamamagitan ng Light Emitting Diode (LED) screen sa mga pangunahing kalsada at Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen sa loob ng mga mall, gayundin ang mga taunang pisikal at random drug tests para sa mga empleyado.
