Hiling ng PRC, payagang ipaalam agad sa nagpositibo ang resulta ng test

Iminungkahi ni Sen. Richard Gordon sa Department of Health (DOH), na pahintulutan at payagan ng ahensiya ang Philippine Red Cross (PRC) na direktang ipaalam agad sa isang indibidwal kapag nagpositibo ang resulta nito sa COVID-19 test, upang mapigilan ang community transmission.


"Based on the calls, emails and text messages we receive requesting for their test results, at least one-third of over 15,700 positive confirmed cases since July 30 have not been informed yet about their status as confirmed positives," pahayag ni Gordon, chairman ng PRC.


"They may have been dangerously increasing community transmission," sabi pa niya.


Sa kasalukuyang sistema, ang ipinapaalam lamang agad ng PRC ang mga nagnegatibo sa resulta. Kapag nagpositibo sa test, ito ay ipinadadala sa DOH upang ang ahensiya, na siyang may kakayahan at nagpapatupad ng mandated health at safety protocols, ang magsasabi sa infected na indibidwal.


Sa sulat na ibinigay sa DOH, ayon sa senador, "PRC finds it imperative that the positive results should be immediately relayed to the patients as soon as results are available in our system."


Ipinunto ni Gordon, na mahalaga ang hakbang na ito dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng covid-19 na umabot na sa 164,474 ngayong araw.


Gayundin, mayroong 112,759 nakarekober at 2,681 ang namatay. Sa 49,034 active cases, 91.1 percent ay mild, 6.5 percent ay asymptomatic, one percent ay severe at 1.4 percent ay critical.
