FIVB Volley 2025 PHL hosting, FL full support sa int'l event

Idaraos ang 32-nation world championship sa Setyembre 12- 28 sa susunod na taon sa 2025 sa Smart Araneta Coliseum at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

At dito ay siyento-porsiyentong nakasuporta si First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos sa solo hosting ng Pilipinas sa FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 sa Setyembre.

“The First Lady readily gave her full support to the country’s solo hosting of the world championship,” ayon kay Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara makaraan ang organizational meeting noong Martes sa tanggapan ng First Lady sa PMS Building sa Malacañang. “She’s so enthusiastic about the event and showed everyone in the room her love for sports,” aniya pa.

Bukod sa suporta ng Malacañang kasama rin ni First Lady si Presidential son William Vincent Araneta Marcos sa pulong na siyang bumuo sa Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

Nagpaliwanag din sa pulong sina Senador Alan Peter Caye¬tano at Department of Tou¬rism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco hinggil sa hos¬ting ng bansa sa world championship na pangangasiwaan ng Asian country makaraang ganapin ito sa Japan noong 1998 at 2006. “For the first time in several years, we’ll host the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Philippines 2025,” saad ni Cayetano na chairman emeritus ng PNVF.

Ayon sa Senador, isang malaking tsansa ito para makapagpamalas ng husay ang 'Pinas sa global stage makaraang pamahalaan ang 2019 Southeast Asian Games at 2023 FIBA Championship.
