Idineklara ng Malacañang na special non-working holiday sa buong bansa sa araw ng halalan sa Mayo 12, 2025, araw ng Lunes.


Nakasaad sa Proclamation No. 878 na kailangang ideklarang walang pasok ang Mayo 12 upang makaboto ang mga tao, na kanilang karapatan.


Nilagdaan mismo ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. ang naturang proklamasyon kahapon, Mayo 6.


Ginawa ang deklarasyon kasunod ng kahilingan na rin ng Commission on Elections, na bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga Pilipino na makaboto ngayong eleksyon.
