PHLPost maglulunsad ng Year of the Tiger Stamps

Nakatakdang ilunsad ng Philippine Postal Corporation ang commemorative "Year of the Tiger" stamps para sa selebrasyon ng Chinese New Year.

Ayon kay Postmaster General Norman Fulgencio, ang paglo-launch ng commemorative stamps na ito ay isang paraan upang i-celebrate ang Lunar Year, lalo at kanselado ang mga festivities dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

"I understand that some of the festivities in Manila were postponed for the second time this year due to the threat of the coronavirus," ani Fulgencio sa isang pahayag.

Ang Chinese New Year ay pumatak sa February 1. Ito ang taon ng water tiger, na siyang ikatlo sa 12 zodiac animal signs ng Chinese lunar calendar.

Pormal na ilo-launch ngayong Lunes ang commemorative stamps sa Pasay City.

Available ang mga stamps, souvenir sheets at ang official first day covers ng "New Year 2022: Year of the Tiger Stamps" simula ngayong araw, January 31, sa Philatelic Counter, Manila Central Post Office sa Liwasang Bonifacio.
