386 beneficiaries served under PCSO's free medical mission in Caloocan City

Caloocan City – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) spearheaded a health caravan in Dagat-Dagatan, Caloocan City, on June 16, 2023, to deliver free medical and dental services to residents of Barangay Katorse.

A total of 273 individuals had free medical consultations; nine patients received electrocardiogram or ECG testing, while 53 underwent dental checkups and tooth extractions performed by PCSO dentists. In addition, 51 boys were circumcised for free by the Triskelion Order of Medicine, a Caravan partner of the PCSO.

This brings to 386 the total number of individuals who benefitted from the program. The agency also teamed up with various government agencies, such as the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor, the Philippine National Police, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Public Attorney's Office.

Meanwhile, Barangay Katorse Chairman Efren Dela Cruz thanked the PCSO for taking part in the Caravan. "Nagpapasalamat po ako sa PCSO sa pamumuno ni GM Mel Robles dahil ipinadala ninyo ang inyong team dito sa Caloocan para magbigay ng libreng medical and dental check-up para sa aking mga constituents. Napakarami po ninyong natutulungan na mga Pilipino. Maraming salamat po at Mabuhay ang PCSO,” he said.

True to its slogan, "PCSO, Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong," the agency reaches out to Filipinos from all over the country to deliver various health and medical assistance in accordance with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s priority programs on the health of Filipinos.
