Sinuspinde ng University of North Carolina (UNC) ang voluntary workout program ng kanilang football team matapos magpositibo sa Covid-19 ang 37 players at staff.
Ayon sa UNC, nagsagawa ng 429 tests sa naturang unibersidad sa loob ng 38 araw at 12% ang kumpirmadong positibo sa Covid-19.
Sasailalim sa 14 days isolation sa campus residence hall ang iba pang community members at student-athletes ng UNC habang naghihintay sila ng kanilang test results. Ang mga coaches at staff members naman na nagpositibo ay sasailalim din ng 2 linggong isolation sa kani-kanilang tahanan.
Ayon pa sa UNC, “The safety and well-being of our campus and local community has been our top priority when building our plans for return.
“We have consulted our infectious disease experts as well as state and local officials during the process.”
